Management Education Alliance

Overview

More than ever, U.S. business corporations and the African-American and Hispanic-American communities share common interest in having talented and trained minority men and women engaged in positions of managerial responsibility and leadership. Quality business education can play a critical role in attracting and preparing outstanding people for this purpose. The quality of business education in turn depends greatly on the quality of an institution's faculty and its leadership.

Educational institutions differ from each other in their specific needs for achieving excellence. The Alliance draws on the resources of its member institutions to organize and sponsor a variety of programs that support the educational mission and strategy of each participating school. The recurring programs generally address faculty development, curricular innovation, and institutional focus. All activities focus on strengthening relationships between faculty members and business practitioners. However, Institutional Enrichment strives to develop partnerships benefiting schools and companies through collaborative efforts. A continuing effort to improve student placement and corporate recruiting at member minority schools through faculty involvement is central to this effort.

More information about specific activities relating to faculty development, curricular innovation, and institutional development is available on this web site. For more detailed accounts of on-going and past events, please see Newsletter section.
